On Monday 12 October 2015, our Year 6 pupils spent the day at the Great North Museum in Newcastle. This visit was part of our science learning and the museum provided a jam-packed schedule of activities for us to enjoy. We enjoyed an evolution workshop led by museum staff where we studied a range of skulls and placed them on an evolutionary timeline. We also visited the galleries, enjoyed the 'Sea Monsters' planetarium show and learnt lots of information in the special 'Spineless' exhibition. All of this will help us in our science lessons when we move on to studying 'Living Things and Their Habitats' next half term and later, 'Evolution and Inheritance'. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day!
