Pupils in Year Five and Seven were treated to a thrilling presentation by the acclaimed children’s author Peter J Murray this week. During the two-hour-long presentation, he shared anecdotes about his life as an author, read extracts from his spooky children’s books and answered questions from pupils.
The presentation proved to be extremely popular, with many pupils queueing up to meet Pete the following day when he returned to sell and sign copies of his novels. The best-seller by far was Kruschmeister, Pete’s latest novel which was released on World Book Day 2016. Many pupils have since been seen around school buried in his books and have given such positive feedback that Pete’s already pencilled us in for a return visit in the Autumn Term! He’s kindly donated a full set of novels to Beaumont library. Thank you to the PTA who generously funded this event.
