The pupils from year eight thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Michael Morpurgo exhibition at Seven Stories on Wednesday 6 July 2016. We were lucky enough to be the first school to experience the exhibition and felt very privileged! Pupils were inspired by very creative and interesting tasks and activities provided. The staff were knowledgeable and very enthusiastic - we had a brilliant time and have come back with many creative ideas to inspire our own writing.

Here is a quote from Charlotte in Y8:

At Seven Stories I enjoyed the part where we told a story as a group by passing the artefact around the circle. I also enjoyed viewing the exhibition; I enjoyed the parts most when we got to work in groups and took part in a variety of activities. The exhibition was very interesting and unique with the artwork and the layout.

Jamie:

I enjoyed Seven Stories as it was a fun and creative experience. I think you have put the right amount of books, interactivity and facts in to the exhibition!

HMS would like to thank the staff at Seven Stories and also First Class Supply who funded the workshops provided.
