Pea, Parsley and Parmesan Risotto by Daniel Giuliani
Before the Easter holidays HMS pupils had the opportunity to enter the Young Pea Chef of the Year Competition 2017, sponsored by Waitrose and Pro Cook.
Last week we received good news that Daniel Giuliani in Year 7 has been selected as a finalist. The expert panel of judges which included TV chef Rachel Green and experts from The British Growers Association, Fen Peas, Waitrose and Pro Cook were really impressed by Daniel’s Pea, Parsley and Parmesan Risotto.
They received hundreds of creative pea-inspired recipes from budding young chefs across the country and Daniel’s has made the final five in the secondary school category.
During the final, the recipes will be open for public votes. The voting stage will launch on Tuesday 2 May and close on 23 June 2017. We’re calling upon the general public, family members and friends to show their support and vote for Daniel’s recipe. All you need to do is spread the word between now and the closing date and the Young Pea Chef with the most votes will be crowned the winner! The person with the most votes will win £500 of Pro Cook cooking equipment for their school. Daniel will also have his recipe published in a recipe book which will be available to purchase nationwide.
