Yesterday, despite a rainy start, the group visited a French Hypermarche where they explored a range of culinary delights. After that, they visited the outdoor markets. After a busy morning, the group made the journey across to Laval, where they were all excited to get into the Aquabulle. Once they had had a thrilling time racing down slides and lounging in the pools, the group made their way home to the Chateau and enjoyed an evening meal of Coq au Vin with a surprising side order… snails! Many of the children engaged well with trying this new cuisine and – after some initial hesitation – most said they quite enjoyed them! To end a fantastic day, it was Quiz Night with French trivia and even song titles being played in French!
Today, the pupils will be visiting Saint Malo in Brittany and exploring Fougeres Castle. What an experience!
