Supporting Learning for KS2
I am attaching (below) some hopefully useful information about the various platforms our Key Stage 2 pupils can access to support their learning. We always appreciate your support in establishing home learning routines and I hope that this document supports you with this.
If you need any further information about any of the platforms or would benefit from further guidance/ support, please get in touch via the admin email address or a note in your child’s planner. If your child does not have access to an online device, please also let us know.
Reading remains hugely important to development at middle school and we ask that you encourage your child to read every day at home (for at least 15 mins). It would be great if you could ask your child to read together with you or someone else at home – they do not always need to read silently. Discussing reading and escaping in a story is hugely enjoyable for all pupils – even when they think it’s unnecessary! Following the lockdowns, it is more important than ever that enjoyment of reading is high on the agenda for our young people. Please let us know if your child is a reluctant reader and we can ensure they choose a text they enjoy from our library.
We’ll soon be sending home information on some recommended support resources which could enhance home learning for your child.
Thank you for your support, as always. We are always here to help.
