Last week, students took part in their second round of PERS People assemblies – welcoming people of different faiths and belief systems into school to experience what life is like for them.
Students in Year 8 heard from Kirtida from the ISKON Hindu Temple; supporting their PERS learning on Hinduism and helping to bring the religion to life. They particularly enjoyed the demonstration of drumming from Kirtida. Years 5 and 6 have been able to start their philosophical journey with Ms Buxton Collins as she explained to them the key philosophical skills of active listening and Socratic questioning. Students were then able to look at different impetus to aid their discussion. Year 7 will have their assembly this week – we hope they’re looking forward to it!
