Design and Technology

Our Year 7 students have been combining practical woodworking, electronics and creative design skills to manufacture their own Steady Hand Games.

Students used a range of woodworking techniques to accurately measure, cut and assemble the wooden box, before soldering and testing the electronic circuit that powers the game. They then designed and created their own themed backdrops to personalise the final product.

This project has given students the opportunity to develop skills in designing, making and evaluating, while building confidence in the safe use of tools, equipment and workshop processes.
