Character Value

This half term, as part of Personal Development, we are ‘diving deeper’ in the character value of Justice and the Skills Builder transferable skill of Creativity.  During a form time period, pupils will have the opportunity to explore what Justice has meant historically and how it relates to modern-day society.   Miss Bell will also be delivering an assembly next half term about another character value of honesty and how this links with justice. Mrs Hayler (our school librarian) has also produced a great display of reference books to help our pupils learn more about our Aspire Icons for the final summer term.   We have picked a significant person for each year group as follows:

Year 5 – Dame Sarah Storey

Year 6 – Malala Yousafzai

Year 7 – Maja Angelou

Year 8 – Mo Farah

Some pupils will be preparing a tutor group presentation at the end of this half term, allowing them to develop their oracy skills.

Please take the time to explore the relevant significant aspire icon with your child and how they have demonstrated the character value of justice or the Skill Builder Skill of creativity.
