After a delicious continental breakfast at the hotel, the first stop of day 2 was at Montserrat which was breathtaking! The group were lucky enough to enjoy a 1.35km cable car journey to the top of the mountain before exploring the Basilica – the views were amazing! A quick picnic lunch in the sunshine was followed by a visit into Central Barcelona and its Gothic Quarter. The children made their way to La Boqueria – the world famous market – to sample lots of local cuisine and culture. This gave the group another chance to use their Spanish vocabulary.
The next stop was a stroll along Las Ramblas before venturing to Port Vell for some retail therapy! This fantastic day was rounded off with a trip to the immersive museum and attractions at Barcelona FC’s Camp Nou Stadium – the home of much sporting history! After an action-packed day, it was back to the hotel for dinner and to get ready for day 3! All of the group are having such an amazing experience and have been wonderful representatives of HMS!
