A Strong Start to the Flag Football Season for Our KS3 Team!
Earlier this week, our KS3 Flag Football Team kicked off their season at Bullocksteads Sports Ground — just a stone’s throw from Kingston Park Stadium. It was the first time this group had played together competitively, with very little prior training, and they showed real promise from the first whistle.
In our opening match, the team put in a strong performance but narrowly lost 6–0. However, the second game gave us the perfect opportunity to put that experience into practice. The team rose to the challenge, demonstrating excellent teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship, resulting in a well-earned 6–6 draw.
As expected, the KS3 pupils conducted themselves brilliantly, representing Hexham Middle School with pride and maturity. We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and are excited to continue our NFL journey in the weeks ahead.
