It was another action-packed schedule on Monday. After a good breakfast in the hotel, we made our way into Central London for a guided walking tour of lots of significant places. We visited Buckingham Palace, where we managed to see the Changing of the Guard; Trafalgar Square, where we enjoyed our lunch as well as Whitehall, Downing Street, Horse Guards’ Parade, the Cenotaph, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. A great morning!
We then made our way to the London Eye, where we got the most amazing view of the places we’d just visited. After exploring the South Bank (including a few fairground rides!), we headed back over the bridge to enjoy a boat cruise down the River Thames, where we managed to see lots more of London’s famous sights. We made our way to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London before a quick stop at Tesco to stock up on theatre snacks!
After a fantastic dinner at Byron Burger in Covent Garden, we made our way to the Adelphi Theatre for our first West End Show – Back to the Future. It was a phenomenal show, and I think we were all mesmerised by the flying car finale. In an extra special night, it was Brian Conley’s (aka Doc) final performance and he was excellent!
We made it back to the hotel with lots of steps done and lots of memories made! Harry Potter Studios today – lots of excitement – we can’t wait!
