On Monday, Y6 girls participated in a home Central Venue League set of games. In their first games, the girls were frustrated with a close 1-0 loss against Corbridge despite defending well for most of the game in the second game against Ovingham, the girls squeezed a narrow 1-0 win, courtesy of an excellent goal by Dylan F. In their final game, the girls had an excellent attacking game, with Ava G, Millie C, Dylan F and Thea G spearheading the attack.
They achieved a resounding 4-0 win with goals from Millie and Dylan. Defensively, Issy N, Lucy G, Libby C and Maddie P kept a clean sheet, as did goalkeeper Alex G. Martha P controlled the midfield well and provided excellent crosses throughout the games.
Mr Nichol was incredibly impressed as the girls played brilliantly on a cold night under the Hexham floodlights.
