It was a strong overnight wind followed by more blue skies for the day ahead and another perfect day in the Alps. The snow was still in perfect condition, which made skiing an absolute delight!
The beginners went high today with their first trip in the Gondola. This opened up the view of the valley which was breathtaking! The long blue back to the hotel is one of Mrs Barnett’s favourites. Mr Johnson’s group have done a lot of technical work on their turns. Everyone is keen to make parallel turns. Mr Gaines enjoyed following them down at the end of the day – great progress is being made. Mr Whitfield’s group have been to the terrain park to jump, which is always a special highlight! In the afternoon, Mr Whitfield decided to try to follow Monty C – it did not end well!
Everyone gathered back at the hotel for a brilliant games night – the classic games are always the favourites!
Everyone has enjoyed the chance to make long journeys on skis around the many pistes on the mountain. A lot of HMS pupils have found a new passion and it’s been great to see their enthusiasm, effort and positive attitude – we are very proud of them!
