We are so lucky in Hexham to have our own Book Festival. As part of the Schools Festival, the amazing organisers are bringing author, playwright, poet, illustrator and screenwriter Philip Kavvadias to HMS. Philip will present his latest book, Mission Microraptor, to Year 5 on Friday 27th March.
The event is designed to inspire a love of reading and Philip specialises in encouraging reluctant readers. Pupils will participate in the funny and engaging Raptor Survival Quiz on the day!
If you would like to order a signed book for your child at a discounted rate, please follow the link below to the Hexham Book Festival’s own site. Please put your order in by Tuesday 10th March, including the name of your child and Hexham Middle School in the checkout. Hexham Book Festival will bring the books to school for collection on the day.
