We are so excited to announce that the PTA will be hosting the second ‘Festive Forest Evening’ on Tuesday 5th December. Last year’s event was a huge success and we can’t wait to kickstart the festive season once again! Our school meal theme days have continued with a celebration of the humble apple. Our pupils were offered a seasonal treat of toffee or chocolate coated apples, which proved to be very popular!
On Sunday evening, our group returned from their weekend in Manchester and what a weekend it was! From start to finish, the children engaged brilliantly in every opportunity and we never stopped! Do you want to help with our 2023 Remembrance Display in school? Pupils and parents/carers are invited to get creative to design and make your own poppy. Designs could include: Knitted or crocheted products Poppies made from card, paint, tissue paper, fabric Use of upcycled products Red, white or purple poppies. DiSH will be running again this half term, providing free hot meals for families.
As a school, we’ll be remembering and honouring service this November. From next week, pupils will be able to purchase poppies and other items in support of the Royal British Legion. ‘I Believe in Unicorns….’ Year 5 had a wonderful morning on Wednesday as they visited Queen’s Hall, Hexham to enjoy a mesmerising show from award-winning storyteller, Danyah Miller. The show brings to life Michael Morpurgo’s famous novel and is set in a library full of books. The show combines powerful themes of bravery and imagination and is an enchanting production.
