Guitar Taster Sessions

Students at HMS have been participating in optional guitar taster sessions with Mr Pride to see if they would like to take up lessons on the guitar.  They learned to play the different guitar strings and also learned to play some short riffs! Guitar lessons, as well as many other instrumental/singing lessons, are available at HMS.  Please get in touch

Save the Date: Summer Fair 2025

The HMS PTA are very excited to announce this year’s Summer Fair. The PTA are planning a movie-themed extravaganza for the whole family to enjoy.  Saturday 21st June 12-3pm  Hexham Middle School  Giant inflatable, raffle, tombola, themed games and stall, BBQ, refreshments.  Please save the date and share the poster with family/friends – we’d love to see you all there! 

Library Update

Following the fantastic Hexham Book Festival events for Year 5 and Year 6 recently, the new books by The Brothers McLeod and Zohra Nabi were put on display in HMS Library on Monday night. Year 8 Rugby

Well done to our Year 8 rugby team who competed in the County Sevens competition at Percy Park yesterday. Against some tough opposition, our boys played some outstanding rugby. They scored a total of 16 tries across four games, beating Longridge Towers and being narrowly defeated by Dame Allen’s, Corbridge and Ponteland. The boys have improved so much this season
