Miss Taylor has loved taking over 120 pupils to visit The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead this week. Pupils have had an exciting opportunity to explore the gallery and to complete their own artwork as part of an artist workshop. We love getting our pupils into the real world to experience the arts – huge thanks to Miss Taylor and the team!
Pupils explored the inspirational work of Ali Cherri and Laura and Rachel Lancaster. Pupils engaged in an artist workshop about a freelance artist and her career to date. Pupils had the chance to create their own ink prints of patterns and a card sculpture based on the work they had explored. The workshop focused on showing our pupils how people can interact with each other through artwork.
