We are launching this year’s Foreign Language Christmas Card Competition!
We would like pupils to design a card that shows the Christmas traditions of another country. Pupils should research these traditions and design a card using a variety of materials.
All cards must be made by hand but can be submitted electronically. Any form of materials can be used – felt tips, paint, fabric, etc.
The Christmas card will be judged on:
- Originality of illustration
- Accuracy of foreign language used
- Accuracy of content/research – you may wish to submit your research alongside your card to support with this element.
- Attractiveness of design
The competition is open to pupils from all year groups. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize awarded in each year group.
As an additional incentive, the house with most pupil entries will receive an additional 200 P points to go towards their total.
The deadline for submission of entries is Thursday 10 December 2020.
The winning entries will be revealed soon after and all cards entered will form part of a display.
Entries can be given directly to Mr Armstrong, pupils’ form teachers or submitted electronically via admin@hexhammiddle.org.uk.
