- In the first weeks – designing/drawing an image they will want to print.
- Once their designs are finalised, they will have the opportunity to copy their designs onto foam boards, from the carving process they will be able to use ink and print their final image onto card.
KS3

This term, pupils attending the KS3 art club will be taking part in a great new project. They will be involved in a printing project based on nature and their environment. This will include:
- In the first weeks – designing/drawing an image they will want to print.
- Once their designs are finalised, they will have the opportunity to copy their designs onto Lino this is a material that you can use carving tools to etch out an image (Lino printing, also known as lino cutting, is a printmaking technique that goes back to the early 20th century. It’s an effective method for creating multiple prints of an artistic piece using linoleum). From the carving process they will be able to use ink and print their final image onto card.
We intend to continue both art clubs with the same frequency. KS2 will be in a weekly rotation of three groups on a Wednesday. KS3 will alternate each week on a Monday.
Miss Taylor will be asking pupils who have not been attending if they still want to come to the club. If they don’t want to come this is an opportunity for other pupils to join.
If you have any questions about the art clubs, please feel free to contact Miss Taylor.
