Archaeology Workshop

Mrs Box and her daughter, Ellie, delivered a workshop in school last week themed around archaeology. Pupils were given the opportunity to select a craft activity focusing on classical and Egyptian archaeology. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the workshop, which lasted for 2 hours after school. A huge thank you must go to Ellie who helped to share her knowledge and interest in archaeology having recently finished her degree at Sheffield University.

It was a great opportunity for pupils to engage with and to support them in their personal development – perhaps it may have even inspired some pupils to explore archaeology further. We have another workshop planned for next Thursday. We apologise that we were not able to cater for the huge demand expressed for this extracurricular opportunity. We are exploring how we may include further workshops during the autumn term.
