On a very wet and cold night, girls’ football returned to Hexham once again. The Hexham Year 6 girls (accompanied by Meike O and Elise C from Year 5) made their way up to the 3G pitch. Despite the weather, the girls made an excellent start, beating Ovingham 1-0. Despite their excellent teamwork and skill, Highfield presented a tough challenge in the second match! The mighty Hexham girls quickly bounced back, beating local rivals St Joseph’s 1-0. Overall, the girls represented the school exceptionally well and were a credit to HMS.
Mr Nichol was extremely impressed with the girls’ commitment, dedication and performance tonight. Well done!
