High Borrans Day 4

It was another beautiful day in the Lake District – what a week to visit! The sun has been shining and you can just see the joy from these photographs – I wish I’d been there with them! High Borrans is always a special trip and a great memory for Year 8!

Yesterday was another busy day for the groups with more caving and ghyll scrambling including lots of jumping in the water – a perfect day for it. Miss Lamont expected a sleepy journey back to the house but the group enjoyed a good sing song on the bus – we’ll save that video for the Leavers’ Assembly!

The day was rounded off with the camp fire – a perfect way to end what has been a brilliant week with a polite, positive and resilient group of Year 8 pupils. I hope they all have lots of exciting tales to share at home this weekend – after a good sleep! Special thanks to Miss Lamont for her expert leadership and to Mr Freeman-Myers, Miss Taylor and Miss Whitmore (and Mr Scott who made a guest appearance for a couple of days).
