Our Year 8 students have been developing their design and manufacturing skills by creating their own mobile phone holders.
Students designed a unique upright shape before using a range of workshop tools and equipment to accurately mark out, cut, shape and finish the timber components. They then assembled the individual parts to produce a functional and personalised mobile phone holder.
This project has provided students with the opportunity to develop skills in designing, making and evaluating, while building confidence in the safe use of tools, equipment and workshop processes. It has also encouraged creativity, problem-solving and precision throughout the manufacturing process.
Respect. Engage. Aspire.
