Last week the Art Department had a visitor from Curator Peter Sharpe. Peter works for Kielder’s Art and Architecture Program. Pupils learnt about how he works with artists to enable them to respond to the environment. Pupils also learnt new making skills in ceramics and created pinch-pot moon bowl (halves). Newcastle University have invited HMS pupils to take part in the 2020 Maths Challenge. The aim of the challenge is to enhance the pupils’ study of mathematics and encourage them to further their study of the subject.
