Breaktime Buddies

At HMS, we are continuing to develop our Key Stage 2 Breaktime Buddies play equipment scheme. We have already invested in lots of wonderful new play equipment for our students to use, and there is more on the way, but we thought we’d ask our lovely parents/carers for donations of items too- just in case anyone has anything at home

Sensory Space

It is Aspire Week at HMS, as well as National Careers Week, and we have lots of different events going on. Cross Country Finals

HMS athletes – Charlie, Ossie and Finn – travelled to compete in the finals of the ESAA Cross Country Cup this weekend. The finals were held at the Grammar School at Leeds and this provides a challenging, twisty and fast-paced course. The Junior Boys competed over 2440m. Charlie M was our first runner home in 43rd overall. Ossie D backed

North East Festival of Languages Competition

Sadie B, Year 6, was one of two winners of the ‘North East Festival of Languages Crepe design competition’. 32 schools and 3,479 students took part, so this is a fantastic achievement. She has won a trip to Newcastle University where her class will take part in a Crepe workshop with ‘La Petite Crêperie’. Her crepe design is attached for

What a brilliant way to end the half-term! Thank you to our PTA and the many volunteers who helped to run the Spring Discos last night. Head of School Awards
