Pupil Success – Cyclocross

We continue to be SO proud of Alex. In a recent event, Alex narrowly missed out on first place on the first day before winning the second day and winning the autumn cup! Year 8 PSHE Safety Works Visit

As part of our ‘Staying Safe and Well’ curriculum, Year 8 are visiting Safety Works in Newcastle this week. As part of the interactive sessions, the children experience how to stay safe in various environments while learning more about dangers, hazards and how to keep themselves safe. Katherine Rundell Workshop

Year 5 were so lucky to join a workshop with author Katherine Rundell this morning. The children have been reading her novel, ‘The Explorer’, in school this half term and it was inspiring for them to hear Katherine talking about this wonderful story. Advent Assemblies

We are delighted to be welcoming Reverend Glover and Reverend Hope from Hexham Abbey to lead our Advent assemblies this week. Pupils are learning about the significance of Advent and the candles in the wreath, and how this relates to our lives today.  Miss Kingett, Mrs Hinchcliffe and Mr Freeman-Myers have prepared this year’s Advent wreath which is on display
