On Friday 15 March 2019 there will be activities within school to raise money for Comic Relief. We will be having a non-school uniform day on Friday, inviting pupils to wear either some items that are red or funny clothes. There will be a voluntary donation of £1.00. Please note that pupils should dress appropriately for school, taking weather conditions
To celebrate World Book Day, over the last few weeks we have hosted a reading photography competition: photos of pupils reading or telling a story in an unusual or amusing place. Mrs Roff would like to say a HUGE congratulations to all of the Year 6 pupils who’ve been accessing Reading Plus online intervention over the last few months. Together, they’ve read 1 MILLION WORDS and are today going to enjoy cakes and treats as a reward. Next stop… 2 million!

We have a very busy week of fixtures this week and we already have a lot of success stories to share. Monday: Year 6 Girls Football The girls were in football action and were very impressive throughout, Hexham United were fresh from their county cup run and made a good start but were narrowly beaten by Ovingham who are finalists
On St David’s Day, Mrs Crowley taught our Key Stage 3 pupils about the feast day for the patron saint of Wales (Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant) along with some facts about Wales and some basic Welsh vocabulary. They finished off by sampling some delicious Welsh Cakes!

The PTA will be holding a BIG Family Quiz night on Thursday 14 March 2019, 6.30–8.00pm, in Fellside Hall.
