Last night the Year 5 and Year 6 girls were in second round County Cup action. The girls played against a strong RGS squad and played superbly. RGS were restricted to their chances but were clinical in front of goal. All of the girls who played were brilliant and showed a hunger to win.
We had a number of Year 5s playing and they performed incredibly against an older team. Abby A, Tiana M, Maddie G, Anya C and Ava S were a credit to the school as their attitude, effort and enthusiasm was clear for all to see. The Year 6 girls Molly B, Molly L, Imani F, Ciara R and Edie L showed maturity and really supported their Year 5 teammates.
The final score was 5-1 to RGS but HMS had plenty of chances late on. The goal came from Tiana M and player of the match was the very impressive Abby A.
Well done girls, lots of promising signs to build on.
