Our Spain adventure got off to an early start on Monday morning as we travelled to Leeds Bradford Airport ready for our flight to Barcelona. Everyone was excited to begin the trip and enjoyed the journey to Spain.
On Monday afternoon, we explored the historic city of Tarragona, discovering its fascinating Roman heritage. Pupils were impressed by the remarkable Roman ruins and the ancient amphitheatre, learning about the city’s rich history and its importance during Roman times. We also visited the magnificent Tarragona Cathedral, taking in its stunning architecture and learning more about the city’s cultural and religious heritage. To round off the afternoon, students enjoyed some time souvenir shopping, picking up gifts and mementos to remember their first day in Spain.
We finished the day by enjoying some well-earned fun on the beach, giving everyone the chance to relax, play and take in the beautiful Mediterranean coastline after a busy day of sightseeing. It has been a fantastic start to the trip, with plenty of learning, exploration and memorable experiences.
