Spain Update – Day 3

Day 3 began perfectly with a visit to the beach, where pupils enjoyed a refreshing swim in the sea under the Spanish sunshine. It was a fantastic start to the day, with plenty of smiles and laughter all around.

We then travelled to Poble Espanyol, where pupils took part in an exciting paella workshop. Stepping into the role of chefs for the morning, they worked together to create their own traditional Spanish dishes. Afterwards, we all enjoyed tasting the delicious results – a big ‘bien hecho’ to our talented young chefs!
The cultural experience continued as pupils learned about famous Spanish festivals, including La Tomatina and the San Fermín bull run, discovering the traditions and excitement behind these world-famous events.
There was also time for pupils to explore Poble Espanyol independently, taking in its unique architecture, shops, and atmosphere.

Next, we made our way to El Mirador, where we were treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona – a perfect moment to take in the beauty of the city.

Afterwards, we visited the iconic Sagrada Família for a guided tour. Pupils were truly in awe of Gaudí’s masterpiece, captivated by its remarkable design, intricate detail, and stunning interior.
To round off the day, we enjoyed a relaxing stroll along the promenade, where pupils had the opportunity to pick up souvenirs and soak up the lively evening atmosphere.

Another memorable day filled with culture, fun, and unforgettable experiences!
