What a way to end a great year at HMS! Our Year 8 pupils had an amazing night for their leavers’ festival! Show Choir has now completed its first year! The brand new choir led by Miss Tindall and Mr Watson formed back in September 2024 and is 45-strong. The choir has performed at many events this year including sell-out concerts in school as well as at Hexham Abbey and the Christmas Lights Switch-On. Their repertoire is mainly songs from musicals, but
Thank you to everyone who donated plants this year! Staff are taking them home to care for over the summer. We’ll be holding another Plant Drive in September to support our Climate Action Plan. We welcome plants of all sizes for classrooms and communal areas, and ceramic pots and saucers are also appreciated. Thanks again for your continued support! Respect.
Year 8 had a fantastic day in Tynemouth for their final HMS trip and the sun shone for them too! The group enjoyed playing on the beach, having a dip in the sea, and a chippy lunch! Happy, smiley faces all round and a great way to end their time at HMS! All of the staff were so proud of
Year 7 had a great day at Newburn on Monday, where they enjoyed a wide range of activities. I have heard so much positive feedback – it sounded like a very action-packed and exciting day and a lovely way to round off a positive year. Activities included: bubble football, athletics, gymnastics, dodgeball, judo, tennis, orienteering, biking, climbing and rugby! A
