Blog Post #14: Mrs Stewart

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well and staying safe at home. It’s such a strange and unique time and I hope you are finding ways to enjoy it. It’s been great to see how well you’ve approached home learning and I have enjoyed seeing returned work! I am home-schooling my four year old and it’s been interesting and challenging getting to know early years teaching!

I spend most of my days with my two young boys, John is 4 and James is 2. We do some learning, story telling and imagination play most days as well as enjoying our garden and our daily walk. John has mastered riding his bike without stabilsers and James can now use a scooter! The boys have helped to plant a veggie garden this year, with peas, kale, butternut squash, tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries and raspberries. We’re also aiming for the tallest sunflower as a school project for John!

I have enjoyed hosting the staff Zoom quiz on a Monday night as well as taking part in other quizzes with my family and friends on Zoom. I have also enjoyed decorating my window with pictures for passers by! Here is my VE Day window!

Anyways, take care of yourselves and take every opportunity to learn something new and appreciate the small things.
